It’s no surprise therefore that the Cotswolds features prominently on the large and small screen, with locations used for famous titles such as The Harry Potter movies, Downton Abbey, Bridget Jones’ Diary and Pride & Prejudice to name but a few. Touring the country lanes, between green meadows, rolling hills and honey coloured villages can feel like a step back in time, to a more genteel era.

Giant Egg Hunt – Blenheim Palace March 30th to April 2nd (Easter Weekend)
For a fabulous Easter weekend with the whole family, you’re sure to enjoy a trip to Blenheim Palace on Woodstock, Oxfordshire. There will be Easter themed attractions such as the Easter Bunny Walkabout or the Giant Easter Egg Trail. There’ll also be a whole range of other attractions with a more traditional feel. The Cheltenham Wine Festival – Cheltenham – April 7th
Indulge your inner sommelier with a chance to discover and appreciate up to 300 wines from around the world. Hosted by expert exhibitors, even the most knowledgeable wine enthusiasts are sure to come away with fresh knowledge and wiser palates. For the rest of us, it’s a perfect opportunity to take our appreciation of posh grape juice beyond the traditional trio of Red, White and Rosé.
Gin & Jazz Fest – Cheltenham – April 14th
If you like your beverages distilled rather than fermented, you’re in luck. The weekend after the wine festival, Cheltenham hosts ‘Gin & Jazz Fest’, which as the name suggests features 50 of the UK’s finest and most exclusive varieties of Gin, guidance on their appreciation along with the accompaniment of smooth backing tracks from renowned Jazz artists.
7K Fun Run – Blenheim Palace – April 29th
For the athletically inclined, the casual runner and all stages in between, the Fun run at Blenheim Palace offers the chance to put on foot in front of the other as you run through nearly five miles of scenery justifiably described as “The finest view in England”. Take it fast and try to be amongst the front-runners, take it slow and drink in the atmosphere along with the scenery, or take the whole family and enjoy a healthy and spectacular day out. We guarantee you’ll sleep well when you return to your motorhome!
Randwick WAP – Gloucestershire – May 12th
The UK is full of historic towns and villages, each with their own traditional calendar dates, unique festivals, fayres and events. Randwick WAP is one such festival, taking place in the village of Randwick, Gloucestershire and dating back to the middle ages. The traditions of Randwick WAP involve traditional costumes, a fair, ceremonial cheese rolling, the dunking of the mayor and the wetting of the crowd with water, so pack your waterproofs!
