Ex-Rental Motorhomes – A Smart Choice For Savvy Buyers

Motorhome adventures are addictive. Once you’ve experienced the freedom of motorhome travel, the convenience of taking your accommodation with you and the excitement of knowing that there’s there’s something new and interesting around every turn and over every horizon, it can be hard to go back to taking ‘ordinary’ holidays. The motorhome bug bites some people harder than others and if you find yourself visiting us so regularly that we’re considering giving you your own parking space, perhaps it’s time to consider taking the step from hiring a motorhome to buying a motorhome of your own.

At Priory, we make arranging motorhome hire a simple and painless process, but if you have a luxury motorhome of your very own, things are easier still. Simply make the decision to go out on an adventure, load up and go – no booking needed!

Why buy an Ex-Rental Motorhome?

At Priory, we regularly rotate our fleet. Every year we order and take delivery of the newest, top of the line motorhomes, fresh from their manufacturers. Our lovely customers deserve nothing less than the best. This does mean that our older models have to make way so we have space for our latest acquisitions. Of course, when we say ‘older models’ we refer to motorhomes which are typically less than five years old, sometimes with fewer than 40,000 miles on the clock. Given that most coachbuilt motorhomes are constructed on heavy-duty commercial chassis, what we consider to be an ‘older model’ would likely be considered to be barely run in elsewhere.

When you consider that we usually let these models go for around half their original cost, it becomes clear what an absolute bargain an Ex-rental motorhome from Priory represents.

Beware of used and ex-rental motorhomes with dubious histories

As with any used vehicle, it pays to beware when shopping for a used motorhome. While all our current and ex-rental motorhomes are carefully and rigorously maintained, not every motorhome on the used market has been so conscientiously taken care of. Older and high mileage models especially, even if they look sound on the outside can hide many problems for the unwary prospective owner. A motorhome is more than just four wheels, an engine and a living space. There’s wiring to consider, plumbing, all manner of mechanical devices (beyond the mechanics common to any motor vehicle). Add to this wear and tear caused by years of use and potential vibration damage caused by all those miles and a cheap price tag at purchase might prove very expensive later.

Ex-Rental Motorhomes For Sale – Try Before You Buy

If you’re thinking about taking that big step into motorhome ownership, we want you to be absolutely delighted with your new motorhome before you sign on the dotted line. For this reason, we offer a ‘try before you buy’ deal on the motorhomes we have up for sale. If you like the look of one of our models up for sale, we can arrange for you to hire it as normal and if, at the end of your hire, you like it so much you decide to buy it, we’ll subtract the entire cost of hire from the sale price and we can even help you arrange the finance too – contact us for more information.
