As one of our offices is based in Lancashire we like to keep our customers up to date with what is going on in and around Lancashire, especially on holidays like half term or bank holidays.
If you are planning on hiring a motorhome for a break in the UK this bank holiday weekend then why not look at Lancashire for things to do. It is just a short journey from Cheshire or our offices in Lancashire and you can always travel from where you live and pick up the motorhome at either office.
During the bank holidays many places put on events and Lancashire is no different.
Things to do in Lancashire this May Bank Holiday
The list is long of events and activities to do in Lancashire this bank holiday weekend, but you should certainly make the most of the extra day somehow.
Ribble Valley Jazz Festival
The Ribble Valley Jazz festival is held in Clitheroe from the 1st to the 5th of May, covering the long weekend. You can enjoy live Jazz and Blues music at this regular Jazz festival, most of the music is free and as it is a 5 day event it is perfect for renting a motorhome and staying on the outskirts of Clitheroe. You can watch performers such as Dennis Rollins, NYJO, Snake Davis, Camerata Ritmata, Marley Chingus etc live in a cosy laid back environment. If the weather is as promised the outdoor events could prove to be very popular.
Blackburn Beer Festival
Another festival in Lancashire, this time over in Blackburn, this is the Blackburn Beer festival. This is a 2 day event from the 2nd May to the 4th May so gives you ample recovery time before going back to work on Tuesday. Entry is £5 and this includes a free beer glass to commemorate the occasion and sample all the different varieties of beers all sponsored by local businesses.
Hire a motorhome to have close accommodation but remember don’t drink and drive!
Scarecrow Fancy Dressing Up
If you already have plans and are heading up to or through Lancashire then stop off in your motor caravan to see the scarecrow Fancy Dressing up at Brockholes Nature Reserve junction 31 off the M6. Open Saturday to Monday of the bank holiday weekend this is a fun activity for the family. They have a fancy dress box so you and your children can dress up as scarecrows and have your photo taken in front of the cornfield.
