Visit all the best UK Beaches this Summer

There’s something about the magic mix of sun, sea and sand that’s all but irresistible. As an island, the UK has plenty of sea within easy reach and a fair bit of sand, but it’s the sunshine we’re often finding ourselves short of. however, this Summer, it’s been predicted that we’ll be basking in the hottest Summer on record. So, with the best weather we’ve seen for years n the way, the only choice is where to go, so we’ve put together a list of some of our favourite beaches, all you need to do is decide which ones you’ll visit and arrange motorhome hire so you can spend more time seeing them!

Brighton Beach

Brighton is one of the UK’s best known and most popular seaside attractions, but leave your bucket and spade at home, you won’t be building any sandcastles on the beach which is most comprised of pebbles. What Brighton does have in abundance is an eclectic charm of its very own. It’s history as a traditional seaside holiday destination can be seen in the Victorian grandeur evident at every turn, with a long promenade and legendary pier filled with attractions. There’s intrigue, mystery and one particular must see chocolate shop to be found in the narrow alleys of ‘The Lanes’, not to mention the mild climate and friendly atmosphere which make Brighton one of the best beaches in the UK.

Kingsgate Bay

For those looking for a sheltered sandy beach which is a bit quieter than most, Kingsgate Bay, near Margate in Kent is one of the best UK beaches you could choose. It has no car part of its own, so many visitors will choose other nearby beaches over this one, but for those who are willing to take a short walk, Kingsgate Bay rewards its guests with tall white cliffs sheltering its golden sand and providing sea caves which are amongst the best you’ll find. There’s a castle overlooking the beach at one end and a family friendly pub at the other, making it a perfect beach for the family. It’s also one of the few beaches that allow dogs all year round, so the whole family can enjoy a day at the seaside.

Seacliff Beach

With a hot summer ahead of us, Seacliff Beach located East of Edinburgh in Scotland makes for an attractive destination. Like Kingsgate Bay, it takes a little effort to get there, but that serves only to deter the less determined, making for a quieter experience for those who take the trouble to find it off a private road near North Berwick. With a glorious sandy beach, views over The Bass Rock island and Tantallon castle, it’s a beautiful spot to spend a sunny day.

Blackpool Sands

No, not ‘that’ Blackpool, this one’s in south Devon and is a beautiful sandy beach which has earned ‘blue flag’ status. Well set up for visitors and well maintained, there’s ample car parking, a cafe and option to hire paddleboards and take part in a variety of watersports, or simply enjoy lazing on the beach and taking a dip in the clean azure waters.

Porthcurno Beach

Not far from Lands End in Cornwall, Porthcurno is a worthy addition to any list of the best UK beaches. A funnel of fine white sand in between two cliffs, with turquoise blue water. It’s easy to get to and at low tide you can easily walk along the sand to other beaches, although there’s one beach nearby ‘without a dress code’, so be warned!
